This is the time though I'm really happy to have them. Though talk to me in a few weeks when I'm up to my elbows in canning jars, tomatoes and pickles.
One of the gardens...
We had our first dinner the other night all from things from the garden.
First there were the green beans...
Then the zucchini...
Which I turned into this...
Not the best pic. It is called Poor Man's Crab Cakes. It is my favorite thing to make with all of the zucchini we get.
The next few weeks are going to be crazy. I'm going to have to start canning green beans, making and canning bread & butter pickles. Then once all of that is done it will be time to start the tomatoes.
umm....you can definitely send some of your garden delights my way!! lol. SO SO jealous. how i long to have my very own garden again. i can't believe you have a watermelon/pumpkin patch! the crab cakes look yummy!
ReplyDeleteWe dont have much from the garden yet, except lettuce and now the occasional tomato. I cant wait to have beans, snow peas, zucchini, cucumbers and more!
