I know, I know...I'm done with the excuses. I'm sorry I've been neglecting you. I swear I will get back into the swing of things. I'm not having much luck with the electronics in my life and its making my life extremely difficult.
I still can't find my camera!! Its driving me insane!! I really really want to show off my haul from MDSW.
Our tv is on the fritz. It won't turn on normally. Everytime I have to turn it on I have to unplug and plug it back in a million and 10 times. Sooo...for the time being we've been letting it on with the satillite box off. I know I know how ungreen of me. I know I'll regret it when I see my electric bill next month. I just really can't afford to have the service guy come out right now. Plus I'm afraid of what he'll tell me...
My pretty little netbook that I got for Christmas is giving me issues. I should have known better. We had a laptop a few years ago and the plug for the charger kept getting bumped therefore coming loose and it would have to be repaired because the charger wouldn't stay in. Now the same thing has happened to my netbook. I have to take it back to Walmart and hope that is covered under the warranty Ryan got for it. I just haven't gotten to Walmart to drop it off. Plus I'm afraid of what they'll tell me...
So when I do sit to do a blog post I have to sit at the desktop from 1982 and I hate it. Ok not REALLY 1982 but in computer years it might as well be.
So yeah, aside from my above drama not much else is going on. Logan is finishing up with school, he only has a few more days left. I can't believe my baby will be in 1st grade next year :( Where did the time go?! He's almost through with this season of tball. Only one more game left. He's really improved this year. I can't believe he'll be in 'real' baseball next year! That is if he decides to play.
Onto the knitting front...all I can say is UGH!!!!!
I finally finished my Multnomah...I hate it. Its totally screwed up. I don't know WHAT I did. Its a mess. I'm going to eventually rip it all out and do something else with the yarn. The monkey sock is still sitting in the bag, haven't touched it in forever. I did cast on for a cute shrug. So far so good. The multnomah just seriously stressed me out and took all of my knitting mojo with it. I hate when a project doesn't turn out right, all I can think about is all the time I wasted working on it and nothing to show for it.
That's about all for now. I'm hoping my camera turns up for all of the Memorial Day cookouts we will be attending this weekend!
All about my two crazy kids & my love of knitting. I need something to keep me sane, right?!

Book Review...
Never Let You Go by Erin Healy is a book about Lexi Solomon and her 9 year old daughter Molly. Lexi is struggling to raise Molly on her own after her husband abandoned them when Molly was only two years old. When Lexi's husband, Grant left them 7 years ago he was heavily involved with people and things he shouldn't be. After a devestating turn of events, he suddenly walked away from his wife and daughter.
Now Grant and other people from Lexi's past have shown up in Lexi and Molly's life. Molly wants the chance to get to know the father she never remembered she had. First Lexi needs to learn about forgiveness and what it all really means.
I rather enjoyed reading this book. I will admit it was a little tough to get going at first and I had to force myself to really get into it. Once I did I couldn't put it down. At first it seemed cheesy and out there but I really enjoyed the suspense of it all. I thought there could have been a little more explaination on a few of the characters and what exactly there purpose was. There seemed to be at least two characters I felt were going to have more pull on the story but they really didn't in the end. I don't want to give anything away in the story but overall it was an enjoyable read and I will definatley be telling my friends about it.

Have you ever had one of those days where you feel like you have a million things to do and don't know where to turn first? Well that's how my YEAR has been so far. I just can't seem to get it under control. My house is a WRECK. I have laundry coming out my ears that needs washed, not to mention the baskets waiting to be put away. I also have to go through the boys' clothes and clean out their drawers. The upstairs needs some major help. I really should have a yard sale soon. I have two books to review for this blog, I'm not even halfway through one and only maybe 5 pages into the other. Oh and my computer isn't working right! Fabulous!
So I have all of this stuff to do and what do I do? Nothing. Right now I'm writing this post, when I should be picking up the living room and getting my house in order.
It doesn't help that I'm having people over on Sunday and I really need to get this house cleaned up. Its bad.
Anyone have any spare motivation they are willing to send me????

The Best Day of the Year.
Saturday was a super fabulous day. It was the first full weekend in May so you know what that means?! It was time for the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival!! I found out about this super fabulous place a few years ago, I think Logan was around three and I convinced Ryan to go. I had originally had plans to go with mil and then she couldn't get off work, so Ryan said he would go. I kept going back and forth on if I really wanted to go then he finally talked me into it (now he probably wishes he didn't ;)
I don't remember how much I had known about it at that time I don't think much, I had just seen the website and had seen it mentioned a few times on different knitting blogs, that was before I was on Ravelry and may have even been before Ravelry exsisted. I do know when we first pulled up to the place I was like oh no, what did I suggest we drive too? Is this IT?! Looks can be decieving.... I hadn't known at the time of my first trip but the Maryland Sheep & Wool is run compeletely by volunteers and there is NO admission charge or parking fee! How friggin AMAZING is that?! Seriously if that was held anywhere around here (not that its far from me by any means but ykwim.) you would probably be paying $10 admission & $5 to park and that's on the low side! I just think it is so COOL its free!
Anyway so that was my first year going and it was fun don't get me wrong, Ryan was great. He didn't rush me, he was talking me into buying things and was pointing things out for me to get (I was a little overwhelemed!). But it just wasn't the same to me, shopping with him. I was a little envious that first year of all of the girls/women there shopping together. Fast forward three years & now this is my second year going with a group of my great friends. Ryan is a little jealous now because he would still like to go and see the animals & stuff but I don't think he'd be that enabling as he was the first year.
The morning didn't start out so great, I woke up 5 minutes after my ride was supposed to pick me up and I still had to shower and pack my bag!! Luckily my friend was just leaving her house but a shower was out of the question. So I rushed around and got ready quick and we were off! Luckily I had all my stuff together I just needed to throw it all into a bag. We went and picked everyone else up and we were off! We were on the road before 7am, we arrived around 8:30 and were in and checking things out right away!
I really wanted to include pictures in this post but I can't friggin find my camera!!! Cole had it the other day taking pictures of himself and I THINK I took it from him and put it somewhere so he couldn't get it and now I can't find it. Figures.
Anyway, our first stop on Saturday was to Brooks Farms booth, might I add I really like how they changed where some of the outside tents were this year, it was so nice and didn't seem so crowded in that area. Now, I feel bad for saying this because I LOVE me some Brooks Farm, honestly love it. But I wasn't impressed this year. I know its terrible to say that, really I do and I feel wrong saying it. Maybe it was just too early in the morning for me but I just wasn't feelin' it. Though my friends 'talked' me into buying 5 hanks for the Fourplay (I love that name! my friend and a few other ladies there were having quit a giggle about it) to make a shawl that they had displayed in their booth.
Right across the way from Brooks Farm was Creatively Dyed, which is my new love. If we're all being honest here I sort of wish I hadn't bought the Fourplay and spent more at Creatively Dyed. Her colors are absolutely AMAZING I just can't even put it into words. I can't wait to post pics of the stuff I got from her, I know the pics won't do it justice. I got three hanks of Beachs sock yarn, 1 for a pair of socks and 2 others to make a Citron. I can't wait to start it....
After that point the rest of the day is sort of a blur but I got more loot...Another new fave of mine is Miss Babs though I didn't get to poke around her booth too long, it was way crowded and by that point I was just DONE. I did manage to snag three skeins of her Yowza Whatta Skein! Two in a varigated colorway called A Day at Churchhill Downs and one in French Marigold. I also got one hank of sock yarn from her.
It was a super fun day and I already can't wait for next year. I just hope its not as hot as it was this year, it was miserable! I'm really hoping that I can find my camera tomorrow so I can post pics of all my fabulous new yarn!! Hopefully this will give me the motivation I need to get back into knitting!
